Buttock Augmentation

If you’ve been dreaming of filling out your favorite booty shorts, you’ve probably found that squats aren’t always enough. A balanced, voluptuous butt is a great way to leave a good impression on the way out, but not everyone is naturally gifted. For that reason, the Brazilian butt lift (BBL) has become an extremely popular option for women looking to transform their figure without implants. For a naturally-perky and round butt, it’s hard to beat this fat transfer technique.

What is the Brazilian Butt Lift?

Although it can evoke images of endless Brazilian beaches and bikinis, the Brazilian butt lift was named after the Brazilian plastic surgeon who made it famous. The Brazilian butt lift is a fat transfer technique, meaning liposuction is performed on a fatty area of your body. Then, the fat is sterilized and injected into the butt to augment it using your own fatty tissue. The result is permanent butt augmentation without the need for implants. Another great benefit is improved body contours and profile where you opt for safe and predictable liposuction techniques to collect fat.

Brazilian Butt Lift Candidates

The most important consideration is that you have enough fat to collect for the augmentation process— this usually means you’re near your ideal weight but still have pockets of fat. If not, Dr. Diktaban can discuss your options for implants. Additionally, you should be in overall good health and able to undergo surgery. It’s important to have realistic expectations for what a Brazilian butt lift can achieve, so Dr. Diktaban can give you the best idea of what your new figure will look like after surgery.

What Happens During a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian butt lift can be performed with a local cocktail anesthetic at our certified, in-house facility. It begins with liposuction, which requires a tiny incision at your donor area through which a cannula and surgical vacuum can be inserted. The fat is broken up with gentle techniques and extracted. Then, the fat is prepared. Finally, the fat is carefully and artfully injected into your butt. Dr. Diktaban ensures this process remains safe and effective, taking care to create a proportionate and flattering profile. Once finished, you can return home.

Results and Recovery

Although the recovery from a Brazilian butt lift may not be as long as implant surgery, you should still count on taking at least a few days away from work and extensive activities. It’s extremely important to avoid putting pressure or trauma on the transferred fat, so Dr. Diktaban will supply a special supportive garment to wear to reduce swelling. You should also make sure to sit on a specialized donut pillow to relieve pressure off your butt. You’ll experience some swelling and discomfort, but this can be managed with prescribed medications. In general, you can expect your full results to be ready within 6-12 weeks.

Cocktail Anesthesia

Cocktail anesthesia is Dr. Diktaban’s preferred tool for ensuring your procedure is relaxing and low-risk. Dr. Diktaban has used cocktail anesthesia for surgical procedures for over 10 years with resounding success. Patients are safe and comfortable during the entire procedure. It is predictable and consistent for men and women of all ages. There are no IVs or any tubes down your nose or throat. Patients describe the experience as “floating comfortably”. Patients are even allowed and instructed to have a light breakfast before coming to the office for their procedure.  The cocktail anesthesia entails the ingestion of a few pills followed by two medicine injections into the arm. One big advantage with cocktail anesthesia is that during body contouring procedures, the patients are able to turn their body into different positions that enables Dr. Diktaban to sculpt their bodies in an enhanced manner. The following list of procedures can be performed under cocktail anesthesia: browlifts, facelifts, eyelid lifts, necklifts, liposuction, BBLs (buttock enlargement), fat transfer to the breasts, breast lifts, FaceTite, AccuTite, and BodyTite.  Learn more about how cocktail anesthesia can transform your surgical experience during your consultation.

Why do my results look bigger than I wanted?

Because of the fat transfer process, it’s a common technique to augment the butt with extra fat. Fat transfer is just like farming. Fat is harvested from donor areas and think of the fat as seeds that need to be planted. The buttock is the fertile soil where the seeds will be planted.
